‘Study the past if you would define the future’, rightly defines who I am. As an aspiring ‘historian’ and a student of this subject, I enjoy studying anything and everything related to the past.

I am not an expert in this field, but along with you I learn everyday each moment and discover the unknown about the known. For instance, we all have heard the popular myth around the Taj Mahal (Agra, India) is that after the construction of the monument, emperor Shah Jahan cut off the hands of all the workers so that such a structure could not be built again. However, this is not true. In reality, he asked the workers led by architect Ahmed Lahauri to sign a bond which stated that they would never construct anything close to or similar to Taj Mahal!

For me, history is not merely a subject. It is an experience and needs to be rewritten. Through this blog, I aim to document my historical experiences and make people understand that ‘History never really says Good Bye… History says, See you Later’.

A budding antiquarian
